PUPkin Spice Latte – a PSL for dogs!

Some telltale signs that Autumn has returned are when the leaves start to change color, the temperature starts to drop, and the PSL returns. Pumpkin spice lattes are a fan favorite Fall beverage, so we thought it would be only fair for our dogs to participate in the fun too! Read on for our new PUPkin Spice Latte recipe.

Ingredients

– 1/2 cup bone broth
– 2 packets THK Goat Milk Boosters
– 1/4 tsp Ceylon cinnamon (make sure it’s not regular cassia cinnamon)
– 1/4 tsp Ginger powder
– 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder 
– 1 can pure pumpkin purée (not pumpkin pie mix)
– 1 can plain coconut whipping cream (without sugar or guar gum)

Instructions

1. Chill the coconut whipping cream overnight in the fridge. Set aside any liquid. Whip the solids into a fluffy consistency, and add a little liquid if needed for consistency. Optional: Local raw honey can be added for sweetness if desired. 
2. Gently heat bone broth to liquify it.
3. Add the THK packets to the bone broth and mix thoroughly.
4. Add the spices to the mixture and ensure they are well combined.
5. Add 1 can of pumpkin purée and stir well. **Make sure the latte is a safe temperature, or chilled before serving to your dog.**
6. Spoon or pipe the whipped coconut cream onto the latte and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
7. Serve to your pup and watch them enjoy!
