Chicken Necks
$12.25
Made with antibiotic-free, steroid-free, and hormone-free chicken, our whole, skinless Chicken Necks include meat and edible bone and can be fed to dogs and cats of all ages. Our chicken necks contain an average of 36% bone and 64% meat, with approximately 1.15g of calcium per 100 grams of neck. Skinless chicken necks are a relatively lean meaty bone that pairs well with moderately fatty muscle meats. All edible bone provides a great natural source of calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium, while chicken meat is rich in protein and niacin. Raw, meaty bones like chicken necks support good dental hygiene while providing plenty of mental stimulation for your pet while they chew on them. This product should be fed as the meaty bone component of a complete DIY meal and should not be treated as a full meal replacement. Available in 5 pound packs.
Use caution when feeding neck bones, as an excessive amount of necks, trachea, or gullet can potentially cause dietary hyperthyroidism due to active thyroid tissue/enzymes that may be present in these items. Necks are perfectly safe to feed in moderation. At minimum it is generally recommended to rotate neck bones with other meaty bones every other day in a raw diet.  Â

Love these as part of my pup’s Frankendiet. He’s on the small side at 43 lb., and there are no beef or pork bones that are small enough for him to eat; even chicken drumsticks are right on the edge of being too big for him. These necks, though, are a great source of easily chewed bone and cartilage. I can even cut them lengthwise with kitchen shears for my cat. Adding them to meaty breast or thigh pieces plus some organ meat makes a good meal for them both. Having the excessive skin removed is the deal maker.
