Made with USDA Inspected and Approved Human-Grade beef, this all-natural snack is a perfect supplement to your dog’s diet. A nutrient-rich powerhouse, tripe is a great natural source of manganese, an essential nutrient for dogs that supports healthy joints, ligaments, and tendons and is commonly missing in homemade diets. When using tripe as the sole source of animal-based manganese, approximately 15-20% of the diet is required. Tripe is higher in fat and has a balanced calcium-to-phosphorus ratio which can be useful in professionally formulated diets for kidney support. However, it is not a sufficient source of calcium alone. Tripe is not recommended to use in transitioning from dry pet food to raw and should be introduced later in the process. Tripe naturally gives off a strong odor which dogs love, while cats may not. Available in 1.5-pound packs.

After defrosting halfway in the fridge, I cut the chunk in half using a kitchen knife I don’t care much for and gave each half to my 2 dogs. They spent about 15 minutes happily chewing and gnawing. Definitely have to feed outside!!! But it’s a great treat, jaw workout, teeth cleaning, and meal all in one.

It was such a workout cutting these into smaller pieces for my dogs, but so worth it! They LOVE green tripe. Definitely quite smelly, but an amazing source of manganese.

Appreciate that Carnos offers chunked green tripe in 1.5lb bags. The bags are easy to defrost and the chunks are a great size. Tripe is filled with so many nutrients for our dogs; just have to ignore the pungent smell.
